Description
This is a contract position that requires on-site work offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional mental health care and support to our diverse patient population.
As a Psychiatrist you will play a critical role in assessing diagnosing and treating individuals with mental health disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that enhance the well-being of our patients. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas
- Experience in psychiatric practice preferably in a clinical setting
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 4 or 5-day workweek
Limited call shifts by phone
Setting: Outpatient only
Hybrid work model available
Patient Population: C/A adults and geriatrics
Cases: Mood disorders anxiety disorders psychotic disorders ADHD PTSD and substance use disorders
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
