Position Summary

The instructor for Anime Worlds: Storytelling and Art leads an engaging creative class designed to introduce middle school girls to the art storytelling and themes of anime. This teacher creates a welcoming inclusive environment where students explore character design visual style and narrative elements through guided activities discussion and hands-on projects.

The instructor facilitates age-appropriate viewing clips leads conversations about themes such as friendship courage and identity and supports students as they develop their own original characters and story ideas inspired by anime. The role emphasizes creativity encouragement and helping students build confidence in self-expressionno prior art experience required.

This position is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about visual storytelling enjoys working with middle school students and can foster imagination collaboration and joy through art and discussion.

Duties and Specific Responsibilities

Model for students the mission and values of Presentation High School.

Demonstrate subject matter competency and the ability to communicate that to middle school students.

Be available to students who need assistance.

Exercise professionalism always with students parents and colleagues.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Experience with middle school students is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively to promote student learning.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
