Harborview Medical Center Telesitter Program has multiple opportunities forCNA / Telesitters.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Part-time: 36 hours per week Night shift

  • Per diem

Position Highlights:

  • Provide monitoring from a central monitoring center for patients who require continuous video monitoring for safety.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following functions:

  • Provide visual monitoring for safe patient observation through video/active microphone technology.

  • Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in EPIC Monitor software camera monitoring equipment and additional communication platforms.

  • Communicates with patients and intervenes to maintain patient safety by verbally prompting the patient to behave safely until their care team arrives.

  • Rapidly alerts the patients care team of a monitored patients unsafe activity or care need via communication technologies such as via phone or Epic Rover application.

  • Assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care; Examples include but are not limited to: in-person patient monitor; assisting patients with toileting bathing and nutrition; transportation of patients supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking of supplies; and maintenance/set up of special equipment. As directed by nursing staff may check patient glucose levels or remove Foley catheter.

Qualified candidates:

  • Required:High school diploma or GED

  • Required:Active Nursing Assistant-Certified (CNA) with the State of Washington

  • A minimum of 1-year of CNA experience

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$58788.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$84168.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$5000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine Evening: $1.50/hour Night: $2.25/hour Weekend: $1.50/hour
