Role Summary and Impact

The Integrated Social Lead will define champion and evolve WPP Medias market-leading paid social media strategy and capabilities across the diverse markets of the Asia Pacific region. This role is tasked with building an industry-leading paid social practice that delivers media transformationfor clients by leveraging advanced tactics across allrelevant platforms. The mission is to drive superior media performance seamlessly integrate paid social with broader media planning and buying set regional standards of excellence and achieve measurable business outcomes.

The Integrated Social Lead APAC will be a visionary architect shaping and leading WPP Medias paid social discipline across the dynamic and diverse markets of the APAC region with particular attention to Singapore Local andRegional Clients. This role demands a unique blend of strategic foresight commercial acumen creative innovation and analytical prowess with a deep understanding of how to optimize paid social strategies within holistic media plans across all social platforms. This leader will define regional best practices for paid social foster collaboration across WPP Media agencies and client teams and drive cutting-edge solutions. They will mobilize the enterpriseto deliver unparalleled paid social expertise leveraging WPP Medias proprietary technologies industry-leading platform accreditations and scaled partnerships to build better futures for our clients and communities in APAC SG.

Skills and Experience

1. Paid Social Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead WPP Medias overarching paid social media strategy for the APACregion aligning with mediatransformationand client success across all social platformswithin the regional media context.
  • Champion a unified paid social practice framework integrating planning and buying into holistic media strategies while developing advanced first-party data strategies for enhanced targeting and measurement.
  • Identify integrate and operationalize emerging paid social trends platform innovations and strategic opportunities (e.g. AI in paid social advanced programmatic buying new media products).
  • Guide performance creative strategies leveraging DCO and AI-driven creative and utilize automation and machine learning for predictive campaign optimization and efficient activation across paid social channels.

2. Client Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Act as a senior strategic advisor for WPP Mediastop-tier clients within the APAC region positioning the organization as the authoritative voice in paid social strategy execution and media investment across all social platforms.
  • Cultivate trustand expand long-term relationships by providing visionary insights on cross-platform social media allocation budgeting and performance driving new business and shaping regional market narratives.

3. Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish and drive advanced measurement methodologies including incrementality testing multi-touch attribution and unified media measurement models for paid social media effectiveness and ROI across various client portfolios.
  • Lead actionable analytics and A/B testing to continuously optimize paid social strategies and campaigns enhancing engagement audience growth and demonstrable business outcomes across all regional markets.

4. Governance Standards & Platform Alliances

  • Establish and uphold regional standards for paid social media excellence compliance and ethical engagement across WPP Medias network considering local regulations and media buying guidelines.
  • Lead strategic alliances with all top social platformsand significant regional platforms fostering innovation competitive advantage and access to beta features particularly concerning media products data and measurement capabilities.

5. Collaboration & Talent Development

  • Lead collectivelyby fostering strong collaboration and knowledge sharing across WPP Medias diverse agencies and expert communities (creative strategy data media buying) within APAC SG for paid social initiatives.
  • Mentor inspire and develop high-performance paid social media professionals across the APAC SG region fostering continuous learning and growth with an emphasis on integrated social and media expertise.

Qualifications

  • Experience:10-12 years progressive experience in paid social media leadership within a large media agency network global media buying entity or media-focused global brand. Extensive experience leading paid social strategy execution and significant media planning/buying across multiple APAC markets including Singapore is in optimizing media spend across all major social platforms.
  • Paid Social & Media Expertise:In-depth expertise across all aspects of paid social media: strategy planning activation optimization and measurement across comprehensive social platforms. Deep understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR local APAC laws) first-party data strategies and how paid social integrates with broader marketing and media channels considering APAC SG market characteristics.
  • Strategic & Analytical Acumen:Exceptional ability to translate complex challenges into clear compelling paid social strategies. Superior analytical skills for interpreting data identifying trends and driving measurable business outcomes across diverse regional markets and integrated media campaigns.
  • Regional Leadership & Communication:Outstanding leadership communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills for leading a diverse multi-market practice. Proven track record of leading high-performance geographically dispersed teams fostering innovation and collaborating effectively across cross-functional partners.
  • Innovation & Future-Forward Mindset:Highly forward-thinking with a relentless curiosity for emerging trends and technologies (GenAI in paid social/media DCO automation) relevant to APAC. Profound passion for brand building digital content amplification and leveraging creativity/media effectively aligned with WPP Medias mediatransformationidentity. Strong understanding of creatives interplay with paid media performance.
  • Technical & Platform Fluency:Advanced proficiency in social media advertising platforms bidding strategies measurement tools and analytics. Extensive experience with all major social advertising platforms and media buying tools prevalent in APAC.
