About the Role:
The Monitoring Evaluation &Learning (MNE) Field Supervisor will effectively support all MNE Survey implementation on the field. You will work directly with Field Supervisors MNE Field Coordinator MNE Senior Data Coordinator and report to the MNE Specialist.
Responsibilities include:
Training and staff development:
o Lead survey training with Field Supervisors for new or updated surveys ensuring complete and understanding of all survey questions and protocols
o Manage training conducted by Field Supervisors building staff capacity to train enumerators
o Periodically observe enumerator meetings give feedback to Field Supervisors on how to improve their meetings
o Assist the MEL Specialist in keeping periodic staff performance development plans up-to-date and ensure that Field Supervisors improve their skill sets
o Lead sessions during all departmental meetings
2. People Management:
o Work with the MEL Specialist in mentoring Field Enumerators and support their management and field activities
o Independently manage field surveys and hold weekly in-person meetings with Field Supervisors
o Support periodic Performance Development Review of Field staff
o Prepare the agenda/materials for all enumerator and Field Supervisors meetings
o Work with Field Supervisors to identify challenges in the field and proffer solutions
o Communicate regularly with the MEL Specialist to ensure all issues in the field are dealt with
o Plan and control timelines and expenses for surveys and request payments for temporary field staff
o Oversee all departmental procurement and Inventory management
3. Data Management:
o Monitor the quality of enumerators work through the Field Supervisors
o Work with the Field Coordinator to pretests surveys to ensure questions are understood correctly by farmers
o Analyze KPIs and weekly plans of team members
o Support Field Coordinator to prepare back check questions and survey exams
o Work with Data Quality Coordinator to manage survey back checks to improve the quality of surveys
o Assist the MEL Field Supervisors in keeping all departmental documents updated and accurate (Indicator tracker transport tracker)
o Communicate with the team leadership on challenges with survey implementation making suggestions for improvements to surveys and protocols
o Work with Field Supervisors to analyze the field feedback receipt for surveys and ensure all performance issues are addressed promptly
o Help prepare surveys and survey materials and ensure surveys are pre-tested and ready for roll out
o Assist the Field Coordinator in analyzing transportation cost data ensuring a fair and efficient system of reimbursement
This role is fully onsite on a full-time basis and the successful candidate may be assigned as required by the manager based on operational needs.
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (BSc) Higher National Diploma (HND) or Masters in Business/Agriculture / Agronomy / Agricultural Extension/ Any degree with a quantitative component (courses in research methods statistics or data analysis).
NYSC discharge certificate required.
Local language fluency and cultural awareness peculiar to the location you are applying to (Hausa Nupe Yoruba)

Compensation
In line with the job level.
One Acre Fund provides employees with a percentage of their basic salaries for housing allowance and child support.
Retirement savings: OAF contributes 10% and you contribute 8% of your basic salary to your retirement savings account.
One Acre Fund also provides monthly reimbursements to cover work-related costs for transport and airtime.
Relocation support is not available for this position.
