Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking a Controller-level accounting leader (minimum 10 years of experience) to drive automation within the month-end close process lead technical accounting guidance and implement a robust project management tracking system.
This is a high-impact role focused on increasing efficiency strengthening accounting standards and improving operational visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead automation and process improvements to reduce the average close timeline to 7 days or less.
Serve as the primary authority on technical accounting and GAAP research.
Develop and maintain a project management tool to provide real-time visibility into close status and monthly deliverables.
Manage and oversee at least three client engagements within the first year.
Mentor staff and ensure high-quality financial reporting and internal controls.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience including Controller-level responsibility.
Strong technical accounting expertise and GAAP knowledge.
Proven experience improving and accelerating close processes.
Demonstrated leadership organizational and analytical skills.
CPA preferred.
