0.6FTE 24 hours per week Nights 7p-730a; every third weekend; holiday rotation.
About our Unit:
16-bed single room design unit for neonatal patients who no longer require acute intensive care. Patients are centrally monitored. Patient population will vary from convalescing pre-term infants to near term infants. Some diagnoses that may be found include Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Hyperbilirubinemia and feeding difficulties requiring evaluation. Patients will be followed by Neonatology service.
Typical patient characteristics include:
Hemodynamically stable Minimal oxygen support Medication support does not include fluid boluses or vasopressors Less frequent lab monitoring required (less than once per day with exception of glucose) Feeding support - oral OG/NG feedings.
