Job Summary

A large well-established branch in Elgin city centre is seeking an Optometrist to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern fully equipped practice offering varied clinical work and strong team support all within a vibrant city-centre location.

About the practice and role:

Large branch with 3 testing rooms and 2 pre-screening rooms with plans to add a dedicated audiology room
Average of 15 optical clinics per week with most days triple testing; Mondays and Fridays have 2 optical clinics and 1 audio clinic
Two resident Optometrists currently in the branch
Full-time Dispensing Optician and part-time Mobile Dispensing Optician
4 Full-time Customer Care Assistants and a Full-time Branch Manager
Located in Elgin city centre with excellent transport links and nearby High Street shops including other opticians
Established collaborative relationships with local competitors to support emergency appointments for the community
Convenient parking nearby with fees as low as 2 for the day (subject to availability)

Clinical setup:

All testing rooms fully equipped with modern up-to-date equipment
Two test rooms use trial frames; the third test room has a Digital Automatic Phoropter
OCT scans completed in the pre-screening room
Henson fields machine Pulseair tonometer and Icare tonometer available
Clinics typically run 09:0017:30 with a 1-hour lunch break; last patient at 16:30 allowing administrative time at the end of the day
Saturday clinics run 09:0016:00 with the last appointment at 15:00
