Your role as a Early Ed Teacher Assistant

As a Full-Time Early Ed Teacher Assistant at James Island Christian School you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe and nurturing preschool environment where students can thrive. Your responsibilities will include providing opportunities for learning through play enhancing social and motor skills and preparing children for a successful transition into kindergarten all within a Christ-centered atmosphere. You will offer one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support ensuring that each child receives the personalized attention they need to flourish. Collaborating closely with the lead teacher you will assist in the planning and implementation of classroom procedures routines and expectations fostering an engaging and organized learning space that exemplifies our commitment to academic excellence and service-driven values.

Requirements for this Early Ed Teacher Assistant job

To excel as a Full-Time Early Ed Teacher Assistant at James Island Christian School candidates should possess a range of essential skills and qualifications that align with our mission of excellence. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher is required reflecting your commitment to early childhood education. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

Additionally candidates must be eligible for DSS certification demonstrating compliance with state regulations in early childhood settings. Successful applicants will exhibit strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students parents and colleagues while maintaining a Christ-centered approach to teaching. Adaptability creativity and a passion for nurturing young learners are vital to contributing to a supportive and engaging preschool environment at our school in Charleston SC.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • CDA or higher
