A Barge Washer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining barges to ensure they are safe and ready for operations. This role involves using various equipment and techniques to remove debris and contaminants from the barges.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
- Operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean the interior and exterior of barges.
- Use hand tools such as brushes and hoses to effectively remove dirt and residue.
- Strip and clean barges ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Maintenance Tasks
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on washing equipment.
- Assist in minor repairs and painting activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety instructions.
- Experience in cleaning or maintenance roles is preferred.
Physical Requirements
