Job Summary/Description:
WTVY the market leader across multiple platforms is searching for a streaming desk anchor. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about delivering on-camera content on News4Now a fast-growing stream featuring news lifestyle content and other programs.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Strong on-camera skills with the ability to think fast on your feet and react to breaking news situations.
- Must possess the creativity to conceptualize and anchor content for the stations streaming platforms including live content streaming shows and more.
- Be the face of breaking news including fronting press conferences that the station streams performing talkbacks with reporters and more.
- Must have knowledge of all major social media platforms.
- Must be comfortable contacting public officials law enforcement officers public information officers and members of the community to gather and confirm information.
- Must be a team player who can work alongside other newsroom employees including producers reporters anchors photographers editors and meteorologists.
- Though rare the selected employee must be willing to work overtime.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Background in broadcast or journalism
- The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced news environment is essential
- Must have a clean driving record
