Job Summary

Teknion Custom Solutions is looking for a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our maintenance team in Calgary. You will play a vital role in maintaining our 200000 sq. ft. wood furniture manufacturing facility ensuring that production machinery and building systems operate at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on complex manufacturing machinery including electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing defective parts.
Plan and oversee the installation assembly and relocation of production equipment and building systems.
Conduct regular inspections (cleaning lubricating and adjusting) to identify and resolve potential issues before they cause failure.
Ensure all machinery meets machine lock-out (LOTO) procedures and regulatory safety requirements.
Utilize Interal software and other computer programs (Google Suite Excel) to maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders.
Identify and procure necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
Actively train team members and expand the internal knowledge base to improve the overall technical capability of the maintenance department.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Valid Journeyperson Millwright ticket (Red Seal preferred).
Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals/schematics.
Proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools as well as lifts.
A willingness to share expertise and a capability to train others.
Must be inquisitive organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
