    Contract Length/ Days:(2025-2026/ 260 Days; M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Required:

    • Two years of progressive and related experience
    • Valid Colorado drivers license
    • First Aid/CPR (can be obtained after hire)
    • Asbestos Awareness Training (can be obtained after hire)
    • Or any other combination of related education experience and training

    Preferred:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent
    • Has successfully passed a basic DC electricity theory course
    • Avigilon certification in Video and Access Control Systems within 6 months
    • Experience in commercial door hardware installation

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Summary/Objective:Provide installation testing repair and maintenance of District electronic security systems including Access Control and IP Security Cameras. Responsible for coordinating access to District sites for District 6 authorized personnel and external agencies. Maintains drawings and documentation for District electronic security systems. Provides general support to the Security Department. Works closely with Facility Use Specialist IT and District 6 Administration.

    Essential Functions:

    • Install repair and maintain District Access Control electronic commercial door hardware IP Security Cameras and other electronic security equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair relays switches power supplies network cables etc.
    • Good understanding of low voltage electrical. Knowledge of multimeter functionality.
    • Program district-wide access control parameters such as locks schedules holidays access groups etc.
    • Program/adjust district-wide security camera parameters such as camera focus field of view compression ratio etc.
    • Ability to climb ladders and work on man lifts. Work required is often on roofs parapets and exterior light poles.
    • Assist with related programming.
    • Provides 24-hour on-call assistance for department-related issues.

    Additional Qualifications:Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems read diagrams and interpret program software. Ability to read and interpret plans (blueprints). Ability to read and interpret applicable codes (NFPA IBC and NEC). Ability to keep accurate records. Excellent memory and concentration. Ability to follow established safety practices. Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions. Ability to deal tactfully with suppliers staff and public. Ability to respond under pressure to emergency situations while maintaining courteous and professional relationships. Ability to use good judgment and common sense. Ability to work independently and with others. Excellent math skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively often at the same time. Excellent customer service. Effectively organizes work to maximize efficiency. Ability to use a wide assortment of hand and electrical tools. Ability to perform all functions of the position.

    Other Duties:

    • Drives various fleet vehicles daily.
    • Accomplishes duties of building maintenance and repairs without direct supervision on a daily basis.
    • Performs work according to the Facilities Department work order system and direction from supervisor.
    • Operates heavy equipment as needed.
    • Assists other members of the department as needed.
    • Snow removal.
    • Ability to perform all functions of the position.

    • Prefers leadership situations relating to meeting the social emotional psychological and academic needs of students.
    • Prefers a work environment where flexibility ability to deal with conflict a high tolerance for stress an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions and long hours are a part of the assignment.
