Job Summary
You will be a key part of our delivery team contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures on large-scale UK and international projects. Some of the day to day tasks will include:
- Design analysis and checking of structures across sectors from bridges and tunnels to retaining walls and marine works
- Undertake calculations use a variety of design software and apply international design codes and standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams external consultants and clients
- Contribute to managing time budgets and project resources efficiently
Qualifications :
- Degree qualified Civil or Structural Engineer working towards Chartership via a recognised institution (ICE IStructE)
- Experience designing complex structures (foundations bridges marine structures etc.) using steel concrete or composite materials
- A good understanding of structural analysis construction methods and advanced numerical modelling
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and international design standards
- Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as LUSAS and Midas and excellent Microsoft Office abilities (particularly Excel)
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining high quality output
