Job Summary
CEDA is currently seeking a motivated 2nd 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Welder with structural experience to join our team in our Bonnyville Shop. Candidates must live in the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform welding on structural steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and welding symbols
- Fit align and assemble structural steel components
- Welds metal parts as specified by layout or welding diagram (blue prints engineering drawings and weld specifications)
- Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes grinders drills and cutting equipment
- Follow CWB welding procedures and company quality standards
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all company safety policies and Alberta OH&S regulations
- Work collaboratively with shop foremen welders and fitters to meet production schedules
Qualifications
- Registered 2nd 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Welder in Alberta
- Previous experience in structural steel fabrication (shop experience preferred)
- Valid CWB tickets considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid understanding of welding procedures and structural fabrication processes
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team
