UW Medicine-Montlake- Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Dietary Unit Aide - Patient Nutrition Room Stocker.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full time 40 hours per week
  • Tuesday-Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Dietary Unit Aide is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of nourishment and supplements in the patient services stocking area. They inventory nourishments and supplements in the nourishment rooms and pull these supplies for all the nourishment rooms in the hospital. They also assist with stocking some of the supplies in the nourishment rooms. Additionally they may provide break coverage to staff when needed.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve in a guest relations role to patients and visitors; relay patient food requests/comments tothe call centerand/or supervisor.
  • Pick upsoiledfood trays fromspecific units.
  • Deliver or relay messages from nursing and other health care staff to the department.
  • Followthehospitalinfection control policies and procedures and the departments food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Inventory and stock supplies in the nourishment room.
  • Provide break coverageas needed.
  • Orient and train new employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
  • One year of experience as a Dietary Unit Aide in a health care facility or equivalent
  • High school graduation or GED
    • One year of additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license/certification/registration.

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45432.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$55968.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$2000 sign on bonus
