Set up prepare and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Communicate directly with the physician and RN to anticipate and prioritize needs.
Perform equipment checks troubleshoot issues and manage inventory in your specialty area.
Maintain aseptic technique and take corrective action when needed.
Ensure accurate documentation of supplies equipment and services provided.
Assist with emergency situations as directed by the RN or physician.
Participate in quality monitoring activities and help support 24hour department coverage.
Demonstrate and model the Saint Alphonsus Mission Vision and Values.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) through AHA ARC or Military Training Network
(or current ACLS and/or PALS).
Ability to provide safe competent support across all applicable patient age groups.
Preferred:
LPN CST CNA EMT MA training or equivalent medical background.
Previous experience assisting with procedures in an Endoscopy unit.
Strong technical aptitude familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy and ability to work collaboratively in a procedural setting.
