Work Location: Kepong KL

Working Hours: Mon-Fri Alternate Sat (8:30am-5:30pm)

Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and manage the full scope of post-sales warehouse and logistics operations at their aluminium extrusion manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of products and services to customers while continuously improving operational efficiency through process reengineering digital transformation and strong cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all post-sales operations including:

Order fulfilment and production coordination
Logistics delivery planning and transport scheduling
Warehouse operations and inventory control
After-sales support for product issues and replacements
Develop and streamline standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each operational function to improve consistency and reduce error rates
Identify gaps in current processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with lean manufacturing principles
Work closely with internal teams (Sales Production Quality Control and Admin) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
Lead system upgrade or software implementation (e.g. ERP/WMS) to enhance traceability data accuracy and decision-making
Monitor KPIs related to operational performance cost efficiency and customer service levels
Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with safety quality and regulatory standards
Train lead and develop a team of warehouse logistics and customer support personnel

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Operations Management Industrial Engineering Supply Chain or any related field
At least 58 years of experience in manufacturing operations preferably in aluminium extrusion metal fabrication or building materials
Proven ability to manage warehouse logistics and after-sales operations in a manufacturing environment
Experience in ERP inventory management systems or software upgrades is highly desirable
Excellent leadership communication and team management skills
Strong organizational and analytical mindset to manage multiple workflows and projects concurrently
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
