Role Overview
The Green Hydrogen Specialist will act as a domain expert across hydrogen technologies electrolyser manufacturing supply chain localisation and enabling policy frameworks. The role involves supporting strategic initiatives to expand Indias green hydrogen ecosystem strengthen domestic technology capabilities and enhance manufacturing competitiveness.
Location: New Delhi (onsite at client location)
Experience Required: 7 years
Qualification: Masters degree in Engineering/Technology (Chemical/Energy Engineering/Hydrogen Technology preferred)
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Electrolyser Manufacturing Roadmap: Develop and refine a roadmap for electrolyser manufacturing aligned with evolving technology industry readiness and emerging demand. Assess key technology families manufacturing maturity and infrastructure needs.
2. Develop Raw Material & Critical Mineral Strategies: Map critical materials for electrolyser technologies and evaluate risks sourcing options recycling potential and opportunities for domestic manufacturing of highvalue components.
3. Facilitate Global Technology Partnerships: Identify and engage with international OEMs innovators and research institutions. Support collaborative models for technology transfer capability building and joint development.
4. Provide Policy Support for Cost Reduction & Market Growth: Offer inputs on incentive design supplychain policies certification frameworks and mechanisms that can improve competitiveness and scale green hydrogen markets.
5. Conduct Value Chain & Competitiveness Assessments: Analyse the full hydrogen value chain to identify bottlenecks capability gaps and strategic opportunities for developing domestic strengths including exportoriented niches.
6. Support Project Development & Technical Advisory: Provide technical support for electrolyser selection sizing integration with renewable energy and cost modelling for hydrogen and ammonia projects. Contribute to feasibility studies and technoeconomic analyses.
7. Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with developers technology providers financiers and policymakers. Represent the organisation at industry forums consultations and technical working groups.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience in the following areas:
Manufacturing value chains
Policy development and regulatory frameworks
Technology localisation initiatives
Green Hydrogen project development or implementation
Strong knowledge of green hydrogen technologies siting considerations standards and project economics.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of electrolyser technologies and performance parameters
Ability to analyse technoeconomics and policy frameworks
Strong analytical and modelling capabilities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work across technical financial and policy functions
