This position is < 16 hours per week Per Diem.
Job Summary:
This position will assist the full-time Payroll Coordinator with payroll support on an as-needed basis. Responsible for the integrity and timely processing of payroll and all related payroll activities including but not limited to: compliance with all federal and state tax laws to include quarterly reports and all year-end IRS reporting requirements; verification of hours and changes to the payroll system to ensure accuracy and reconciliation and; payment of payroll related insurance statements pension contributions garnishments wage assignments and other withholding payments through Accounts Payable. Responds to outside agency and staff queries regarding payroll. Resolves issues with payroll software. Works collaboratively with HR Finance Leadership and staff to ensure accurate recording of time and related pay codes. Experience with UKG Pro strongly preferred.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree with emphasis in accounting or business preferred.
Licensures/ Certifications:
Experience:
- One year in a business setting with responsibilities in payroll utilizing payroll and/or HRIS software (UKG/UltiPro experience highly preferred).
- Previous healthcare/hospital experience preferred.
