This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located at 3040 Hammond Business Place Raleigh -Wake County with Department of Public Safety.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $50.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This position will function as Maintenance/Construction Project Manager II ( Senior PM) to direct strategic planning consultation inspection design and construction contract administration service. A wide spectrum of work is available including repair and renovation projects and new construction projects.
The Senior Project Manager manages the design and construction process with strong emphasis on maintaining the respectiveprojects scope budget and schedule.
The Project Manager insures the integration of operating procedures security requirements and appropriate building systems in the design and construction process to achieve a fully functional facility that satisfies the project program requirements. renovations and existing facilities for the NC Department of Public Safety.
General duties of the Senior Project Manager:
Development of scope budget and schedule for assigned projects and monitors same for timely and proper execution.
Development of construction estimates and project planning for proposed projects.
Procurement and administration of design construction and related contracts as needed for successful project delivery of departmental facilities.
Establish priorities outline direct and review work of design consultants (plans and specifications) for conformance with programmatic goals scope budget and schedule.
Production of progress reports project expenditure reports and budget forecasting for assigned projects.
Bidding award inspection and administration of work performed by internal forces and external contractors.
Negotiate contracts and resolve contract disputes.
Assist in project siting land acquisition and related real property matters for assigned projects.
Manage and deliver projects tum-key with minimal oversight or instruction.
Manage end-user goals and scone adherence through proactive engagement.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Facilities or Construction Management or related Engineering field from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience in construction project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
