What you will do
Working as part of the Marine design team On mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.
Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
Develop a variety of drawings including mechanical schematics P&IDs Equipment Datasheets and Hydraulic Calculations.
Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.
Collaborate with the Project Management team offering valuable design and CAD support.
What we look for
Essential
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (Fire CAD or equivalent).
Ability to interpret clients technical specifications.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
Minimum 4-5 years experience in Fire suppression systems on Buildings or Marine
Preferred
Bachelors in mechanical engineering
Experience in the Marine Industry.
Previous involvement in MoD contracts.
Background in the Fire Protection industry. With experience in Sprinkler Foam Local Application Water mist and Gaseous (Novec C02 Inergen) fire suppression systems.
