The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 expected
Leading on teaching and learning within the Music department
Supporting curriculum planning assessment and departmental development
Driving high standards of performance composition and theory
Overseeing concerts ensembles and wider musical enrichment
Coaching and mentoring colleagues to ensure consistently strong practice
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or a closely related subject
Proven experience teaching Music at secondary level
A strong track record of excellent classroom practice and pupil outcomes
Experience leading initiatives or supporting colleagues within a department
High expectations for academic achievement and musical excellence
