MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is looking for a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon to cover specific March & April dates ongoing!

Dates Needing Coverage (REQUIRED that your candidate can cover both blocks):
March 13 @ 0700 - March 24 @ 0700
April 23 @ 0700 - April 28 @ 0700
Schedule:
Clinic Days: M-F
Clinic Hours: 8a-5p
On Call: Yes
Call overage and follow up clinic. The call coverage is 24-hour call coverage and then they will do follow ups on their patients in the clinic.

Inpatient Responsibilities: Rounding on post-op patients inpatient/ED consults OR
Job Responsibilities: Clinical Surgical Trauma/Orthopedic Call
Trauma Level: 3
Number of Physicians: 4
Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 7
Supervision of APP expected: Yes
Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse/provider 3 cast techs/7 providers
Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 Reception/7 providers 2 Surgery Schedulers/7 providers
Number of Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
Medical Imaging: Yes
Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults current avg hospital daily census 160 pts/day
Appointment Length: 10-30 depending on new consult recheck post-op or procedure

Services offered in the practice:
Providers are required to be able to perform these services.
Total hip knee and shoulder replacement.
Hand wrist knee shoulder hip ankle and foot surgical procedures.
Trauma injuries fracture care sports medicine and other disorders.
Bill Rates Needed for Submission:
Malpractice (must be included in the rates)
Orientation
Hourly ($458 rate cap)
Holiday Hourly
Overtime ($532/hour rate cap)
Holiday Overtime
Night Call ($456 rate cap - to include 2 gratis hours)
Holiday Night Call
24 Hour On Call ($3691 rate cap - to include 4 gratis hours)
Holiday 24 Hour On Call
Call Back ($532/hour rate cap)

Conversion Fee (rate cap $25k)
Facility Reimbursement:
Flights - $750/round trip cap (to include all taxes and fees). No upgraded airfares or seat upgrades
Lodging - 1.5x the GSA rate cap average for the total stay (to include taxes and fees)
Rental Car - $55/day cap (including all taxes and fees) regardless of car class. SUV/upgrades over cap will need to be preapproved (will only be approved if needed for inclement weather)
Mileage - IRS Standard Rate
