Job Title: Security / Missing Children Recovery Support Specialist

Schedule: Must be available Monday Tuesday and every Sunday including Memorial Day

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to support statewide efforts related to missing abducted and runaway (MAR) children. This position works collaboratively with multiple agencies including:
- Child Safety (DCS) field staff
- OCWI
- Victim Services Advocates
- Placement Administration
- Law Enforcement
Your primary responsibility is to help ensure coordinated response efforts proper documentation and effective follow through when children go missing or are recovered.
Key Responsibilities - Work with DCS law enforcement and other partners to coordinate search and recovery efforts for MAR children.
- Engage directly with parents caregivers and family members often during emotionally difficult situations.
- Ensure referrals and supports are provided after a child is recovered especially for children identified as victims or suspected victims of crime or sex trafficking.
- Document all required information accurately in Guardian and other reporting systems.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with families who may be distressed or upset.
- Independently manage workload once training is complete.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate follow up services.
Required Qualifications - FPCC clearance (already obtained) - mandatory to be considered
- Must be local at time of submission (applications without current location listed will not be considered)
- Must be available for in person interviews within 1 week of posting close date
- Ability to start within 2 weeks of receiving an offer
- Must be able to work Monday Tuesday every Sunday and Memorial Day
- Proficiency using computers Microsoft Office and electronic documentation tools
- Strong customer service communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional when speaking with upset family members
- Ability to work independently after training
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors Degree
- Experience in investigations case review or related fields
- Familiarity with the child welfare system
