Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This role requires strong critical care skills flexibility with scheduling and the ability to provide high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Perform continuous patient assessments and manage complex care plans
Administer medications titrate drips and manage advanced life-support equipment
Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in patient condition
Utilize the electronic medical record system for accurate documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes
Float to other critical care or step-down units as needed
Participate in scheduled on-call shifts as required

Unit Details

Unit size: 11 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
Floating: Critical care and step-down units (as needed)

Equipment & Systems

EMR: Epic
Clinical systems: Meditech

Orientation & Training

Up to 40 hours of orientation provided

Qualifications & Requirements

Active State RN license (must be valid by assignment start)
Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (can be completed during orientation if not current)
Ability to work flexible day or night shifts and on-call rotations
