Job Summary:
The Applications Architect (Senior) will support the Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS) repository and eOrdering functionality as part of the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) initiative. This role involves designing and developing applications within electronic health-related projects focusing on modernizing clinical workflows and improving healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing applications within electronic health-related projects.
- Working with Laboratory Information Systems (LISs).
- Defining and implementing health system business requirements.
- Participating in the development of solutions and providing advice on short/long-term solution development activities.
- Gathering client business requirements corporate I&IT information mandates client information technology strategic plans environment and standards.
- Planning migrating implementing and sustaining large complex system development projects.
- Designing and developing large complex highly available mission-critical server applications.
- Evaluating systems to assess conditions technical performance and capacity and determining the need and feasibility of expansion renovation or replacement.
- Developing technical documentation.
- Implementing MORE Patient identification scanning and data capture.
- Implementing MORE Order management Manifest Creation.
- Implementing MORE Order management Status changes.
- Implementing MORE Order management Order repetition.
- Implementing MORE Results management Results retrieval and reprint.
- Implementing MORE User-driven enhancements.
- Implementing Notification Front end design for data capture.
- Implementing Notification Front end design for patient authentication.
- Implementing Notification Back end design for subscription storage.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience designing and developing applications within electronic health-related projects ideally with experience deploying clinical software systems.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience with REDIS NODEJS Handelbars and OAUTH.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience working with Laboratory Information Systems (LISs) deployed within the province of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience with health system business requirements definition and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
