Job Title: Maintenance Assistants (Assembler)
Location: Patterson Louisiana 70392
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $18 $19 per hour
Shift & Hours
- Shift: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Rotating weekends included
- Overtime may be required
Role Overview
The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing products troubleshooting issues and ensuring high-quality workmanship across all product lines in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components across all product lines using correct tools and fixtures
- Test assembled products and troubleshoot any assembly or testing issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and identify mechanical components
- Use hand tools rework techniques and operate relevant equipment
- Measure dimension and set tolerances for mechanical parts and assemblies
- Create accurate labor records for all transactions
- Apply manufacturing system principles to support continuous improvement
Experience & Skills
Required
- Minimum 2 years of assembly experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Consistency and reliability in a production environment
Preferred
- Experience in the drilling equipment industry
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Work Environment
- Shop / manufacturing environment
- Steel-toe boots required
- PPE such as coveralls provided by employer
