Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Assist with intelligence gathering to contribute to the prevention detection and seizing of contraband items at the institution.
Responsible for inmate drug testing.
Assist with inmate cell searches contraband retrieval including employee visitor vehicle dorm and package searches.
Provides the Warden with pertinent information as it relates to gang activity and suspicious behavior within the institution.
You will be responsible for any additional duties assigned by your supervisor or Warden.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen
18 years of age or older
High school graduate or GED
Must possess a valid drivers license
Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more or a fine of $1000.
Must pass a physical examination administered by SCDC.
