Job Summary
We are seeking a Construction Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Gaithersburg MD with a design-assist specialty contractor

- Pay Range: $70-90k (depending on experience)
Responsibilities for Estimator:
- Prepares accurate material take-offs.
- Prepares substitution requests for value engineering purposes.
- Prepare project cost estimate and bid for new projects.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor material and time requirements.
- Visits site as needed for estimating.
- Manage job information and documentation for future access as necessary.
- Tracks ongoing bids past bids and any other assignments as necessary.
- Collaborates with supervisor on all quotes or bids for best market positioning.
- Copies correct individual(s) on all quotes or bids sent to clients.
- Updates supervisor on status of bids in process or sent.
- 5-10 years of construction estimating experience
- Bachelors degree in business finance marketing or engineering preferred
- Experience in business development is a plus but not required.
- Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within the construction field.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on experience and personal judgment.
- Have excellent communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam is a plus.
