Summary: KCC a leader in climate control technology is seeking an HVAC Electrical Engineer to support and advance our legacy andnext generationproduct this roleyoullpartner with designers engineers andcross functionalteams to design troubleshoot and improve electrical systems for commercial HVAC electrical schematics support production resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with NEC and industry standards. Responsibilities: - DevelopElectrical Schematics:Createunit specificwiring diagrams for production and presales support.
- Perform Electrical Calculations:DetermineFLA MOP and power requirements fordual pointpower units.
- Provide Technical Support:Respond to electrical questions from Sales Customers Technical Support and Engineering.
- Troubleshoot & Test:Diagnose electrical issues and support equipment testing and validation during production and development.
- Manage Engineering Changes:Review and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) in compliance with NEC UL and other applicable codes.
- Define Wiring Practices:Establishwiring practicescomponentinstallation standards and ensureaccurateassembly documentation.
- Prototype Support:Assistwith assembling wiring and testing electrical panels and components for prototype builds.
- Technical Documentation:Write work instructionsmaintainERP data and support production documentation.
- Cross FunctionalCollaboration:Work closely with Manufacturing Process Engineering Customer Service and management to resolve issues and support productionneeds.
- MaintainIndustryStandards Knowledge:Stay current on ASHRAE AHRI NEC NFPA 70 UL and related industry standards.
Qualifications: Required Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronics or Controls Engineering; or a 2-year technical degree/certificate in HVAC or mechanical controls;equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. - Proficiencywith electrical test equipment (meters gauges handtools).
- Ability to diagnose circuits from 24V AC/DC upto 575V.
- Understanding ofelectrical hazards LOTO procedures and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to read electrical schematics P&IDs mechanical drawings and building layouts.
- Strong communication organization and multitasking skills.
Preferred - Experience in HVAC electrical controls or commercial equipment.
- Knowledge of NEC NFPA 70 UL 1995 UL 60335 and related standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD automation (Lisp routines) Excel VBA or Python.
