Job Description Summary:

Assists the coordination of daily clinical operations and the planning evaluation and implementation of program services. Manages and evaluates staff ensuring quality patient care and compliance with standards and regulations.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Assists with the daily operations of the department including policies and procedures budget management recruitment and other administrative tasks.
Participates in departmental planning marketing and implementation of new programs. Assists with coordination of departmental performance improvement activities.
Performs the clinical duties of department staff effectively interacting with patients families health care teams and supervised staff.
Serves as an advocate and liaison for department in committees and meetings and with internal and external groups.
Supervises department staff providing clinical leadership and expertise and ensuring compliance with performance standards and external regulatory agencies. Assist with the training and continuing education of staff.

Education Requirement:

Bachelors Degree in related field required.

Licensure Requirement:

State of Ohio Licensure in Occupational Therapy required.
Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Certifications:

CPR certification required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.

Skills:

Exceptional customer service communication negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills.
Effective leadership decision-making and supervisory skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Experience:

Two years minimum experience in a clinical setting required.
Acute care pediatric experience preferred.
Experience in a leadership capacity preferred.
