Job Summary

Description

The Manufacturing Technicianis responsible foroperatingand maintaining production equipment ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes. This role includes troubleshooting machinery performing routine maintenance and meetingquality standards and production targets. TheManufacturingTechnician plays a key role inmaintainingsmooth production operations and improving processes in a fast-paced environment.

EssentialJob Duties:

  • Safelyoperateand monitorproduction equipment incompliancewithestablishedprocedures.

  • Consistently produce high-quality productsthat meet established specifications minimizingdefectsand reducing waste.

  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and production standards.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

  • Assistin the implementation of process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Participate inthe implementation of Operational Excellence continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing principlesto enhance operational efficiency.

  • Support oursafetycultureby following EHS (Environment Health & Safety) guidelines and activelyparticipatingin safetytraining andinitiatives.

  • Participate in quality control proceduresidentifyingand reporting any non-conformingissues.

  • Identifyand report any potential equipment malfunctions andassistmaintenance technicians with troubleshootingasneeded.

  • Collect and record production data accurately and promptly.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work areaadhering to5S principles and safety regulations.

  • Safelyoperatea forklift to transport materials and products within the manufacturing facility ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

  • Collaborateand communicate effectively with Supervisors team members andother departments toensure smooth production flow.

  • Assistin training new technicians or team members asrequired.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent isrequired.

  • Minimumof 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environmentor equivalent training program.

  • Strong understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principlesis preferred.

  • Abilityto read understand and follow written instructions and proceduresisrequired.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Commitment to safety and a strong safety record.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Prolongedperiodsstanding and walking.

  • Prolonged exposure to loud noises.

  • Capability to bend reach and climb ladders.

  • Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds at a time.

  • Must be able to traverse property and facility.

  • Dexterity in hands and feet tooperateforklift controls with precision.

  • Required to wear PPEin the plantand complete safety training.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
