Job Summary
The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical proficiency patient-centered care and the ability to support departmental operations including providing limited lead coverage as needed to ensure workflow continuity.
Shift & Schedule
12-hour shifts
Combination of weekend and rotating weekday coverage
Day shift schedule
No on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
Ensure proper patient positioning radiation protection and image quality.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
Review images for diagnostic quality prior to submission.
Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record.
Follow infection control radiation safety and regulatory guidelines.
Provide lead coverage when scheduled including workflow oversight and serving as a point of contact during the shift in the absence of a supervisor or designated lead technologist.
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
Maintain equipment functionality and report issues as needed.
Experience Requirements
X-Ray Technologist experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Ability and willingness to provide limited lead coverage when operationally required
Certifications & Licensure
Active state X-Ray Technologist license required
ARRT certification required
BLS certification required
