The Technical Leader for Turbine Module Product Definition provides technical and execution leadership for Turbine Module PDE activities supporting NPI and OTR/NTI programs. This role is accountable for coordinating and driving high-quality Product Definition execution for Turbine Module hardware with direct impact on technical quality manufacturing readiness cost and schedule.

A key element of this role is building and sustaining strong partnerships within the Turbine Module PDE team and with adjacent Design Engineering Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations. This position represents a significant leadership growth opportunity requiring demonstrated leadership capability strong technical judgment and effective influence across the Gas Turbine engineering organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and day-to-day execution guidance for the Turbine Module PDE team including prioritization of work assignment of tasks and coaching of team members to meet program and business commitments.

  • Serve as a technical authority for Product Definition best practices with deep knowledge of Gas Turbine flange-to-flange systems and Turbine Module hardware including Hot Gas Path components.

  • Coordinate and align activities with PDE managers technical leaders peer checkers and the broader domestic and global Gas Turbine PDE organization.

  • Develop implement and track PDE execution plans in partnership with Design Engineering to ensure delivery to technical requirements schedules and program budgets.

  • Apply data-driven analysis and engineering judgment to evaluate options resolve technical issues and improve existing solutions leveraging internal and external benchmarks as appropriate.

  • Represent the Turbine Module PDE organization in cross-functional engagements with Design Engineering Programs Systems Manufacturing and Sourcing ensuring effective communication and timely issue escalation and resolution.

  • Partner with the manager and team to establish sustain and continuously improve systematic execution models for Turbine Module hardware including standard work modeling practices PMI application UDF usage part family strategies and automation.

  • Lead and support NPI and NTI program deliverables and contribute to identification of future PDE capability needs including tools resources and emerging technologies (e.g. additive manufacturing and advanced cooling technology CMCs Software needs(n-TOP GEOMAGIC) and Manufacturing tooling for additive and advanced cooling designs.

  • Drive a culture of ownership accountability urgency and technical rigor to ensure high-quality manufacturing definition and responsiveness to internal customers.

  • Continue to master technical depth in various areas of expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in engineering design product definition or manufacturing engineering with direct relevance to gas turbine technology products business and strategy.

  • Demonstrated high proficiency with Siemens NX including PMI-based model definition and strong working knowledge of company PLM processes and tools.

  • Proven ability to lead technical work make sound engineering decisions and drive execution across cross-functional teams.

  • Strong business and program awareness with the ability to balance technical rigor schedule and cost.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Gas turbine module product design / definition experience supporting Turbine Module Hot Gas Path hardware including component design release and revision processes.

  • Demonstrated horizontal partnering and relationship-building skills across PDE Design Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

  • Track record of driving improvements in standard work MBE digital workflows automation or productivity initiatives within PDE.

  • Familiarity with gas turbine manufacturing and supply chain considerations for both subtractive and additive manufacturing.

  • Experience with scripting coding or application of AI/advanced analytics to improve PDE quality or efficiency.

  • Advanced engineering degree.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $113200.00 and $188800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
