Lead Integration Test Engineer

Location: This is a Hybrid working role. Whiteley Hampshire

Clearance Required: This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance.

We are looking for an Integration Test Lead to join our team to help us deliver a large-scale systems integration programme.

As part of a multi discipline team the successful candidate will be responsible for a significant portion of test documentation and execution across a large integration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with an international team and with Customer stakeholders to design create and execute tests. The role will require the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the team ranging from technical personnel to programme leadership.

The role includes mentoring junior team members executing tests across a variety of software products their interfaces and network & infrastructure configurations and identifying and managing resulting defects.

What will I be doing

• Leading the Integration Test and Acceptance activities for the project including the production and maintenance of plans and associated acceptance artefacts
• Leading on all test management and acceptance aspects including adhering to standards
• Designing and implementing modern scalable test plans using a range of new and emerging technologies including automation
• Utilising the concepts and principles of verification and validation to sign off relevant test plans across multiple subject areas
• Preparing test specifications (manual and automated) and conducting test execution and reporting activities
• Highlighting Test and Acceptance related risks opportunities assumptions issues and dependencies
• Collaborate with third party stakeholders to ensure business requirements coverage in acceptance scripts
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of test assurance
• Communicating effectively across organisational technical and political boundaries understanding the context
• Documenting requirements acceptance (RVTM) representing the team on Test and Acceptance related matters appropriate with the Test and Acceptance Report(s)
• Responsible for coaching and mentoring other testers within the team

What does Leidos need from me

• Min 8 years test experience (including ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing)
• Ability to attend site in Fareham as needed
• Excellent understanding of Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional Non-Functional and Integration Testing
• Demonstrable systems integration experience including integrating 3rd party systems or components
• Demonstrable experience working with a variety of stakeholders to identify objectives
• Experience of driving delivery of all testing objectives
• Good oral and written communication skills confident in technical and non-technical discussions
• Good time management and organisational skills ability to work with minimal supervision
• Enthusiastic proactive troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience of creating Test plans and reports based on requirements and design documents
