The Role
We are looking for a Part- Time ( 0.5 - 0.7 FTE) Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated Science team. The Laboratory Team supports the Science department in our purpose-built Science facility. Hours of work are negotiable however availability on Wednesdays is essential.

Ballarat Clarendon College offers specialised Science classes through Years 5-12 with students enjoying specialised Science practicals each and every week.

Our new Laboratory Assistant will be problem solvers with a passion for Science who hold a relevant qualification or experience. Clarendon is willing to support the right person to gain the necessary qualifications whilst working.

Clarendons new Laboratory Assistant will be excellent team player willing to learn and confident professionals who are fully committed to the school and its community.

Knowledge skill and qualification requirements:

  • Relevant qualification relevant work experience and/or the willingness to obtain qualifications whilst working
  • Demonstrated commitment to child safety safety standards dangerous goods regulations and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan organise and prioritise work in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.
  • Commitment to carrying out safety checks maintaining equipment setting up classroom laboratories and caring for flora and fauna.
