DescriptionJob Summary
The Project Assistant for the Global Institute is responsible for assisting in the creation of English courses and for providing support for a new department initiative. This person will follow the direction of the Director of DTS Global Institute to create courses that fit within the current listing of courses but focuses on building out courses to serve the new department initiative.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with the creation of at least 2 courses in English each year:
Assist inediting course video content.
Create a written outline of the content for each lesson.
Create additional educational and spiritual development elements to accompany the lecture and outline.
Create quizzes that help students review the weeks lesson.
Provide support for students in the Tracks Program:
Answer questions about the program and provide support as an advisor to students participating in the Tracks Program.
Build relationships with both students and volunteers for the Tracks Program.
Assist in recruiting alumnicurrent students and additional volunteers to serve as coaches in the Tracks Program.
Any additional tasks or projects meant to help serve the Global Institute department assigned
by the Director of DTS Global Institute.
QualificationsFamiliarity with non-American cultures is essential for a successful candidate.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Willing to learn and utilize online software for collaboration and communication.
Willing to become proficient in using online software for responding to free online student questions.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in theology or related discipline.
Familiarity with DTSs formal program.
Spiritual maturity.
Experience providing education is helpful.
Experience in international ministry is helpful.
