Job Description
As part of a project to integrate a new division of a major industrial player we are seeking a Senior Network Architect capable of acting as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in complex and international network environments.
The position is part of a high-visibility industrial context with close interactions between technical and business teams and international exposure across the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Define design and validate LAN and WAN network architectures in an industrial and international environment
- Act as the technical reference (SME) for network-related topics within the integration project
- Translate business requirements into robust secure technical solutions
- Recommend and challenge technical choices with key stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership to project teams
- Simplify and explain complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Work closely with a Project Manager
- Participate in discussions with teams based in Argentina South America and the United States
- Contribute to technical governance and the overall quality of project deliverables
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven expertise in network architecture
- Strong mastery of LAN / WAN environments
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco technologies
- Ability to work on large-scale and mission-critical architectures
- Very strong understanding of network security performance and resilience challenges
- Strong leadership and technical influence capabilities
- Excellent communication and technical simplification skills
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and business decision-makers
- Strong analytical skills autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
- Solid experience in technical documentation and reference architecture design
- Fluent French and English (bilingual required)
Assets
- Experience working in an industrial environment preferably mining or heavy industries
- Previous experience in the industrial sector
- Professional experience with IT/OT integration topics
- Certifications such as CCNP CWNA Aruba Certified Mobility Professional or equivalent
Location
- Preferred location: Greater Montreal Area
- International exposure may require flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80.000$155000 This role is an existing vacancy
