What Youll Do as a LEADS External Auditor 2
Independently conduct onsite routine &/or non-routine audits of complex data security systems which are subject to oversight by The Ohio Department of Public Safety; Report & recommend methods & techniques to resolve a variety of auditing problems.
Determine degree of compliance & adherence to generally accepted law enforcement computer operations; Monitor previous audit reports & provisions of standard audit plan;
Randomly check system response time.
Examine system entries disseminations error messages validations & other transactions to determine level of compliance with pertinent law regulations.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires frequent travel with possible overnight stays; positions which involve travel to audit sites in field also require valid Ohio drivers license in order to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation.

Option 1
Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting business administration computer science or related field;
AND 24 mos. auditing or accounting which must have
included 12 mos. auditing accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies &/or procedures as specified on agency position description. (***See below for more details)

-Or 4 yrs. auditing or accounting which must have
included 2 yrs. auditing accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies &/or procedures as specified on agency position description. (***See below for more details)

-Or 12 mos. exp. as External Auditor 1 66461.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
***Auditing experience in accordance with prescribed management policies &/or procedures pertaining to the data sensitive system LEADS. Reviewing quality control methods & general operations with users.
