Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences is currently looking for a proactive and reliable Handyperson to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in ensuring our property remains well-presented safe and welcoming for both guests and staff.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a safe well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike. As part of our team youll be the go-to person for repairs and maintenance working across guest rooms and behind the scenes to make sure everything operates at its best.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms.
- Oversee and support external contractors when required
- Implement and maintain the propertys preventative maintenance program
- Keep accurate records of daily tasks maintenance requests and service schedules
Shift Details (subject to change)
- Minimum 20 hours per week
- Monday to Friday roster
- Weekend work may be required on an ad hoc basis
- Flexible start and finish times (minimum 5 hours per day)
- $30 per hour
- Ideal for a well-established handyperson looking for balance and consistency.
Qualifications :
Successful applicants will have:
- Previous hands-on experience as a handyperson ideally within building or property maintenance
- Previous painting experience will be preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to delivering high standards of service
