AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and talented SE Conveyance Planning Manager to lead various utility planning assignments for immediate employment at AECOMs Atlanta GA or Charlotte NC Office with flexibility of having a hybrid schedule with remote and in-office work. This candidate will collaborate with AECOMs Southeast Modeling Group on various projects from North Carolina to Florida. The successful candidate will perform multiple tasks including but not limited to the evaluation of water distribution and sewer collection systems capacity analysis condition assessments storage and pumping evaluations asset management and master planning for federal private and municipal clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work on Hydraulic Modeling projects primarily using skills related to AutoDesk Innovyze and Bentley software SWMM ESRI ArcGIS etc.
- Specializes in all aspects of modeling including building hydraulic models from plans or GIS data calibrating/validating hydraulic models conducting simulations interpreting results analyzing or evaluating the hydraulic models for various studies and preparing technical reports/master plans on hydraulic modeling work performed.
- Present technical findings to clients regulatory agencies and other stakeholder groups and provide training when needed.
- Lead a team of junior and mid-level hydraulic modelers/planners and train them with hydraulic modeling software and related skills.
- Assist with developing task and effort estimates for proposal support
- Utilize basic engineering principles judgment theories practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
- Gather and correlate primary engineering data using established procedures and practices.
- Work on routine or detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and engineering analysis.
- Work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic team environment.
- Record and interpret data conduct analyses and compare findings to relevant studies and local state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Work to maintain positive working relationships with peers and clients.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in civil/environmental engineering or related discipline.
- P.E. or ability to obtain the license within 6 months.
- 10 years of related experience or demonstrated experience and/or education equivalency.
- Experience using various hydraulic water modeling software (Autodesk Innovyze and Bentley WaterGEMS).
- ESRI GIS experience and demonstrated knowledge of working through the GIS platform.
- Experience in the modeling planning and asset management of water distribution sewer collection storage and pumping systems.
- Ability to travel for up to 1 week at a time for occasional field investigations.
- Enthusiastic hard-working technically proficient with ambition and drive.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in civil/environmental engineering or related discipline.
- 20 years of related experience or demonstrated experience and/or education equivalency.
- Design of water distribution and sewer collection systems including pipelines storage and pump stations.
- Experience in prepositioning and leading proposals for new opportunities.
- Experience with various asset management tools and capital improvement plan development.
