Summary of Job
The golf course bartender is responsible for providing an excellent guest experience. He/she prepares and serves alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and restaurant patronsexceeding their expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Inform customers about the days specials
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drink orders
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
- Arrange tables and maintain a tidy dining area
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Carry dirty plates glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
- Meet with Head Chef to review daily specials changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED Equivalent preferred.
- Relevant training and operators license.
Job Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- A thorough knowledge of mixology wines liquor and cocktails is required.
- Ability to utilize restaurant POS software.
- Great attitude and positive outlook.
- Strong customer service.
- Ability to stand for a long time and move quickly.
- Excellent oral communication skills are required.
- Bartending experience preferred
