Description

The summer research trainee in the NIH-fundedMaayan Laboratory of Computational Systems Biologyand theMount Sinai Center for Bioinformaticswill work with a group of researchers on projects related to data analysis and integration as well as other research projects aimed at solving data-intensive biomedical problems. The research trainee will conduct faculty-mentored independent research projects in the following areas: data harmonization machine learning cloud computing and dynamic data visualization. Trainee may design and implement bioinformatics tools and processes in order to analyze large-scale datasets. The research trainee in the Maayan Laboratory will provide support for data science research focused on developing methods that would further extract knowledge from LINCS data by integrating LINCS data with other relevant resources including datasets from other NIH Common Fund supported projects. The data science projects carried out by the trainee will address methodological and computational challenges related to such integrative analyses.

Responsibilities

Provide support for data science research focused on developing methods that would further extract knowledge from LINCS data by integrating LINCS data with other relevant resources.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or greater depending on department and role.
None though some administrative exposure is a plus
