About the Role:
Our client in Jeddah is looking for a skilled Pastry Commis to join their culinary team. The role involves assisting in the preparation baking and presentation of a variety of pastries desserts and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality hygiene and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and baking pastries desserts and breads according to recipes and standards.
Ensure consistent quality presentation and portion control for all items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section and adhere to hygiene standards.
Assist in inventory management ingredient preparation and storage.
Support the pastry team during high-volume periods events or banquets.
Follow all health safety and food handling regulations.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Commis ideally in a hotel fine-dining or high-volume kitchen.
Knowledge of pastry techniques baking methods and dessert preparation.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with good communication skills.
Culinary qualification or relevant certification is a plus.
