Summary:
Under general supervision of the General Manager Supply Chain oversees the various functions of the warehouse. This position is categorized as compliance critical and as such requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division corporate and regulatory requirements.
The Team Leader Warehouse Operations will ensure all Logistics Procedures described in the SOPs are carried out in proper and timely manner for both Clinical and Commercial activities. This function is also responsible for the organization of the Logistic team in order to ensure all daily tasks are fully accomplished according to Client requirements
This is a hands on position and as such this position will need to learn all aspects of both Clinical and Commercial CSS and support the team actively with daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
Directs the workflow motivates trains and monitors the performance of warehouse associates involved in the Distribution Centers day to day functions
Assists in the process of selection training career development and performance management for the Distribution Center associates
Monitors work processes and makes suggestions for modifications in order to increase and improve productivity efficiency and accuracy for the purpose of improving costs; implements changes as directed or needed
Oversees the Distribution Centers department staff working in the Inbound and Outbound teams as well Inventory management
Have extensive knowledge about all operating procedures in order to assure the quality of the Clinical Supply Solutions procedures
Organize all operating Personnel in the daily tasks to accomplish the programmed objectives
Actively participates and promotes continuous improvement initiatives
Supports compliance with all appropriate policies procedures safety rules and applicable country authorities regulations
Ensures the maintenance of records documenting order filling process such as quantity size and strength and National Drug Code
Document monitor and evaluate performance and activity for each direct report and team against critical success measures to identify patterns. Review behavioural and/or performance issues and activity metrics with direct associates in a monthly meeting. Complete and deliver progressive reviews and finalise annual review for each associate including determination of suggested merit based on annual scores for associates
Collaborates with other Company departments to make reports in a timely manner:
Scheduling of depot rosters/shifts
Responsible for planning and tracking daily orders and activities
Oversees the quality of picking and packing protecting breakable items to ensure merchandise received by World Courier Clients arrives in a satisfactory manner
Interaction verbally and via email with customers in resolving issues
Assist all Operational Managers Pharmaceutical staff Operational Team Leaders and Client Services team in all logistical functions
Act as a logistics resource and provide recommendations to the General Manager Supply Chain to implement any procedure changes
Required to be on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance for any logistics out of hours request. On occasion may be required to attend World Courier site for support of out of hours operations
Participate in reviewing and authoring global and local Standard Operating Procedures Work Instructions and Tracking Reference Number documents
Work in all temperature controlled environments including but not limited to
15 to 25C
2 to 8C
-20 to -30C
Review all work to ensure performance is completed in accordance with the established procedures
Manage the cold chamber cleaning schedule out of hours to ensure the schedule is adhered to as per the SOP
Physically perform packing process of inbound outbound and returned shipments using Cencora World Courier packaging products
Participate in scheduled weekend tasks for stock control and balance sheet processes
Lead continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure processes are streamlined
Must be willing to participate in physical inventory as scheduled
Performs related duties as assigned
Perform any other duties which the employee has been trained for
Internal Communication and Information Sharing
Keep Internal Stakeholders informed of the progress of their order and shipment
Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders to find appropriate resolutions to Clinical and Commercial matters to ensure ongoing client satisfaction
Liaise with the Transport Customer Service team in relation to World Courier transport bookings and ensure correct processes are followed
Provide information to all World Courier Australia business units to ensure work output is coordinated in an effective manner
Contribute to team and organisational wide discussions by sharing ideas experiences and recommendations around improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the business

Effectively collaborate with all Internal Stakeholders to ensure the function is operating effectively and efficiently while maintaining a harmonious team environment

Comply with standard operating procedures and policies to ensure that the function is demonstrating consistent practices nationally and is in line with strategic objectives
Ensure World Courier Australia compliance with all government legislative and other requirements such as Australian Customers Service Civil Aviation Safety Authority Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service International Air Transport Association International Organization for Standardization
Ensure full compliance with international local regulations such as World Courier Australia Registered Air Cargo Security Program and Australian Customs International Air Transport Association regulations
Ensure full compliance with World Courier Australia quality management systems (Good Practice)

Education:
Logistics Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Experience:
Three or more years experience in Operations/ Logistics or Warehousing
Experience in Receiving/put away inventory/replenishment Pick/Pack process from initial order to completion
Understanding of the sensitivity of handling pharmaceutical products and working with and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures
Current forklift license - counter balance and electric reach trucks
Experience in Warehouse Management Systems
Excellent interpersonal relationships
Be able to take initiatives and solve problems
Self driven and can workautonomously
Sound computer skills
An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements
Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook

Minimum Skills Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg using safe work methods
Minimum Year 12 VCE or equivalent
Have minimum 2 years logistics & warehousingexperience in a leadership position
Current forklift license - counter balance and electric reach trucks
Experience in Warehouse Management Systems
