Rate of Pay: 20.66 - 27.24 per hour
Summary:
This role delivers high-quality repairs maintenance and improvement works across council housing and property stock. Working independently and as part of a multi-skilled team the postholder provides professional workmanship excellent customer service and supports the smooth delivery of housing repairs in line with council standards and targets.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance works with a strong focus on plastering and finishing trades
- Complete works to a high professional standard with minimal supervision
- Diagnose defects recommend remedial works and liaise directly with residents
- Work across occupied and unoccupied properties including emergency call-outs when required
- Maintain tools materials vehicle and equipment to required safety standards
- Use mobile technology to record job updates and manage work schedules
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in plastering and associated finishing trades within housing or property maintenance
- Ability to work independently manage workload and deliver repairs to agreed standards and timescales
- Strong customer service skills and experience working in occupied properties
- Full UK right to work
- Willingness to comply with health & safety equality and council policies
