*This position can be filled as a Technical Support Specialist I II III or Senior depending on the candidates qualifications and experience.*

Position can be located near the ETS East Region which is from New Orleans LA to all of MS Plants

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing implementing and managing improvement projects and/or provide diagnostic subject matter expertise to enhance the overall reliability efficiency and safety of the plant.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports for management use
  • Provide primary or backup technical support for various plant system and processes
  • Utilize experience knowledge and online monitoring systems and tools to analyze trend and monitor plant equipment performance data in an effort to improve plant operation
  • Provide technical support to maintenance outage and capital projects
  • Technical Lead on specific / complex projects
  • Support equipment problem solving condition assessments and represent Entergy during OEM discussions or shop repairs. May engage in the review of diagnostic services (vibration analysis off-line motor testing Infra-red performance testing vacuum leak-detection etc.) done by a 3rd party.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required of the position:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Desired:
    • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or B.S. Degree in Science in a technical field

Minimum experience required of the position:

  • Tech Support Specialist I:0-2 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
  • Tech Support Specialist II:2-4 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
  • Tech Support Specialist III:4-6 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
  • Tech Support Specialist Sr:6 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.

Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Proficiency in all applications of the Microsoft Toolkit
  • Must possess good computer skills
  • Ability to work independent of direct supervision
  • Good communication skills also required
  • Duties often require call outs and work after normal hours
  • Be able to keep records and reports
