We are a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) civil engineering firm seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead our bridge and horizontal structures department. This senior leadership role combines project management business development and team management to drive local market growth and ensure financial success. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff; oversee hiring performance reviews and resource allocation.
- Drive business development and expand the companys market presence with local county and state clients.
- Manage department budgets allocate resources and ensure profitable project delivery.
- Provide technical expertise in bridge and horizontal structural engineering projects.
- Collaborate with office managers and practice leaders to coordinate strategic growth plans.
- Contribute to proposals and business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in bridge and horizontal structural engineering.
- Proven project management and business development experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; structural design software experience (SAP2000 ETABS or RISA) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with local government county or state clients.
- Prior supervisory or senior leadership experience.
