Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department for a fast-paced high-acuity ER environment serving both adult and pediatric populations. The ER RN will deliver urgent high-quality care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience Requirements
Minimum: 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: Not accepted (must reside more than 75 miles away)
Pending License: Not accepted
Required Certifications
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
Patient Ratios
1:5 with mixed and shared acuity levels
Clinical Skills & Competencies (Required)
Emergency & Critical Care Skills
Adult & Pediatric Emergency Department experience
Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
CVA (Stroke) assessment and care
Isolation precautions
IV & Medication Management
Blood product administration
Central line care and management
Phlebotomy
Peripheral IV insertion
Continuous IV sedation and paralytics
IV vasopressors
Emergency medication administration
Procedural sedation administration
Technology & Documentation
EMR: EPIC (Preferred)
Charting System: EPIC
Scheduling & Policy Notes
Block schedules may be considered but are not guaranteed
Floating required based on unit needs
Must be flexible to support staffing requirements
